An afternoon at the beach with David Murdock. He is a documentary producer who has traveled the world making films for National Geographic, Discovery Channel and other networks, and he spent 5 days with us visiting from the east coast. We shared with him what we know about the oceans and the human impact on them — improper fishing practices, the problem of ghost fishing with derelict fishing gear, over fishing and illegal fishing, warming waters and ocean acidification leading to all life dying off, including coral reefs at an unprecedented rate, marine mammals at the brink of extinction, and more. And David shared with us how he makes films. He’s an investigative film maker. He’s teaching us how to be the same.
