We will fight for our oceans’ rights

Rise up like a wave on a sea

We’ll rise up for an ocean that’s free

We’ll rise up. Tell our leaders that they’ve got to

rise up rise up.

I imagine oceans clean and blue like in my memory,

Squishing my toes in the sand as a child maybe two or three

Will we let this happen let our oceans die without a plea?

Will we let this be our reality?

See there is so much plastic in our sea.

But recently I had an epiphany

‘cuz we just saw a movie ‘bout a plastic sea

Hey yo the ocean needs some heroes

Hey, [pause] that could be you or me

Check it out!

This is both our moment [pause] and our movement

We’re the generation to make [pause] some improvement

We are also going to Palau. There is no time to wait. [pause] We must act now! NOW!

I’m past waitin’ for changes. We will be bringing positive changes to our nation.

The world will learn to have the plastic ration

We will be the change we want to see in the world

Following in the footsteps of Dr. Sylvia Earle!

And we will fight for our oceans’ rights
