Dr. Rebecca Albright is Assistant Curator and McCosker Chair of Aquatic Biology at the California Academy of Sciences. She is a coral reef biologist with expertise in ecology and biogeochemistry. Rebecca’s research supports a systems-level understanding of how coral reef ecosystems will fare in today’s changing environmental conditions such as ocean acidification and warming. Her passion for community engagement has been fostered by years working with non-profits and citizen science organizations that focus on educating communities about coral reef conservation and management. Heir Charley Peebler’s coral studies have benefited greatly from Dr. Albright’s support.
