Natasha Benjamin has 20 years experience working in ocean conservation, science and policy. As the Policy and Outreach Director at Marine Applied Research and Exploration (MARE) she works on development and outreach and uses deep-sea research to inform ocean and fisheries policy. Natasha’s background is in marine science and fisheries management, and she has strong expertise in science, policy and partnership building. Natasha has a B.S. in Marine Biology from Boston University and an M.S. in Marine Policy from University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. The Heirs are deeply grateful for Natasha’s willingness to offer field trips to see and learn about MARE’s deep-sea work and ROV.
