COLLABORATING, LEARNING AND CONNECTING

In many ways Heirs connect with youth and other ocean- and water-protectors globally and learn learn learn as much as we can about threats to our planet and how best to protect it for us and for future generations.  As part of this commitment, H2OO sponsors youth in need to attend conferences, summits and symposiums where we contribute and meet other inspiring young people. One example is H2OO sponsoring youth to attend Algalita’s Plastic Ocean Pollution Solutions International Youth Summit (POPS).  Heir Laden from PMA in Palau shares about an empowering experience he had attending POPS in 2018:

“I have been a member of Heirs To Our Oceans for two years, and over the years I have been  able to do things that are amazing. I went to California to participate in POPS. I got to meet new people and learn about different ways that I can help solve the plastic pollution problem for the betterment of future generations. It was very inspiring to see that so many people are putting in effort to solve this worldwide problem. Kids of my age and even younger stepped up and spoke passionately about the importance of solving the problem of plastic pollution. It greatly inspired me to return to Palau, my home, and push to get rid of the plastic pollution issue. Being an Heir has allowed me to do such great things as being a leader and inspiring others to make change.”
