Dr. Ram Mohan is a Senior Partner at Anchor QEA, LLC., and an Adjunct Professor of Coastal & Ocean Engineering at Texas A&M University. Dr. Mohan is a member of the National Academy’s Marine Board, where he focuses on Coastal Resiliency, and currently serves on the U.S. Committee for the “United Nations (UN) Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development”. In collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), he is currently co-authoring national guidance documents on ocean and coastal restoration.
Dr. Mohan is also the Director of Texas A&M’s Annual Dredging Short Course, part of the Center for Dredging Studies, and thus involved in research projects related to Coastal Resiliency, Beneficial Use, and Environmental Remediation. He is currently serving as Chief Editor, Journal of Marine Environmental Engineering (2016-2021). From 2013-2016, he served as the Chairman of the World Association of Dredging Organizations. He was also one of the founding Directors of the Association of Coastal Engineers and served as a Director for the American Shore & Beach Preservation Association. A “Fellow” of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Ram focuses on eco-friendly and sustainable solutions to complex coastal problems.
