Achare Elvis Ayamba of Cameroon is a passionate early career ocean conservationist who envisions a world where everyone has the right mindset to live in harmony with our blue planet. Achare, who holds a masters degree in fisheries and aquatic ecosystems management, is the Founding Director at Environment and Food Foundation (E2F) with a mission to promote sustainable management of aquatic and marine ecosystems of mangroves, wetlands, lakes, rivers, streams and oceans. Programs include collection and valorization of marine plastics waste in Douala, participatory conservation of threatened African manatees and Lake Ossa, and participatory management and restoration of mangroves forests ecosystems using Community- Based Ecological Mangrove Restoration (CBEMR).
