Jillian Foote

Jillian Foote is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in global health and development. She is skilled in strategic advocacy and communications, grant development and management, strategy development and execution, partner and relationship management, leadership engagement, event management and international travel. Jillian joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2011 and is currently Senior Program Officer, COVID-19 Response on the Gates Foundation’s Global Policy & Advocacy team. Prior to this role, Jillian worked with the Gates Foundation’s Africa team on a number of special initiatives, including early COVID-19 response and gender equality. Prior to joining the foundation, Jillian focused on international education and board governance for the World Affairs Council, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing international issues to the Seattle community. Jillian holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science from Western Washington University.
