“My name is Luz and I am a Latinx college student studying allied health. I am applying for the partial scholarship because I want to be able to be part of the SEAL SoS 2022 to learn from other youth and build skills to be involved in activism more. I study and work part-time to afford college expenses. As a low-income student, I do not have the funds to afford this trip but I am dedicated and want to learn the most I can during this trip to spread the knowledge I gain back to my community. This summit will allow me to practice my communication skills, as well as learn many new skills along the way. I would be extremely thankful to participate in this opportunity.”
